Indiana Tech Receives First Legacy Higher Education Opportunity Fund Grant

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): The first grant from the Legacy Higher Education Opportunity Fund had been awarded to Indiana Tech's new academic center. The college will receive $1 million for the construction of the center. It's already investing almost $15 million for the construction, which is underway and expected to be done by August of next year. Mayor Tom Henry made the announcement Tuesday of the grant, which is part of Legacy Fort Wayne, an organization that provides higher-learning nonprofit institutes grants for capital investments. Those investments have to be made in downtown Fort Wayne or surrounding neighborhoods.
