Indiana University Worker Charged With Child Porn Possession

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. (AP): A 32-year-old Indiana University employee is facing a preliminary charge of felony possession of child pornography after police say at least 30 inappropriate images were found on his university-issued laptop.

Bloomington police say Jon Riveire was arrested Tuesday after investigators received a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. University spokesman Mark Land says Riveire was fired from his position as assistant director of the university's Office of Student Ethics.

Riveire could not be reached for comment because his telephone repeatedly rang busy Thursday. Court documents did not indicate he has hired an attorney.

He has been employed by the university since 2007.
