INDIANAPOLIS (AP) _ Firefighters helped 10 people stranded on a gondola ride at the Indianapolis Zoo get down after it became stuck.
Indianapolis Fire Department spokeswoman Rita Reith says the Skyline Ride malfunctioned at 11:40 a.m. Thursday and zoo personnel tried resetting the ride for a half hour before calling the fire department. Firefighters used a cherry picker to get the riders down from three cars.
Seven adults and three children, including a 19-month-old, were helped down from the ride. The final rider was removed from the ride at 2:07 p.m.
Last October, 18 riders were stranded on the ride after it became stuck. The ride was closed the remainder of the year.
