Indiana’s Latest Real Estate Report Shows Upward Trends

ALLEN COUNTY, Ind. (WOWO): Indiana's latest real estate report shows a continued trend upward for sales and the amount of money sellers are able to ask for.

Statewide, home sales are up nearly 15 percent for September, compared to a year ago. The median sale price is $123,500. That's a 3 percent increase from 2012.

Locally, the news is mixed. Sales in Allen County are up nearly 14 for the month, but the median sale price shrank from $116,000 $110,000.

Still, leaders with the Indiana Association of Realtors say the Hoosier state is past the recovery stage and moving toward a stable, balanced marketplace.
