Irish Move Up to #5 In Latest AP Poll

SOUTH BEND, Ind. (AP) — Notre Dame coach Brian Kelly says Everett Golson should be ready to play against Brigham Young this weekend. Golson sustained a concussion on a helmet-to-helmet hit in the fourth quarter against Stanford on Saturday. Kelly says Golson will undergo further tests today.

Notre Dame moved up two spots to No. 5 in the latest Associated Press football rankings. The Fighting Irish defeated Stanford in overtime on Saturday. Alabama and Oregon held on to the top two spots for a fourth straight week.
