Kendallville man killed in crash on U.S. 6 near Noble/DeKalb county line

DEKALB COUNTY, Ind. (WOWO):  Indiana State Police identified the man who died Monday morning in a crash on U.S. 6.
Von A. Hudson, 40, of Kendallville was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash, Indiana State Police said.

Hudson was driving a pickup truck westbound on U.S. 6, east of County Road 3 around 8:45 a.m. when Police say the truck crossed the center line hit and a semi that was carrying a refrigerated load of beef.

Hudson was thrown from the vehicle and wasn’t wearing a seat belt.

The driver of the semi wasn’t injured.

U.S. 6 was closed for about 4 and half hours while the area was being cleaned.
