LAGRANGE COUNTY, Ind. (WOWO): Area police agencies are warning about another scam making the rounds.

A post on the LaGrange County Sheriff’s Department’s Facebook page says someone is calling from a local phone number, claiming to be an EMT with Steuben County EMS out of Angola. Then they try to get personal information from the person they’ve called by telling them they’ve won a prize.

Both the Steuben and LaGrange County Sheriffs say this is not true, and if you get such a call, you should hang up.

Police say the scammer is using the phone number (260) 908-3051.
