Large Piece of Ice Rips Through Churubusco Greenhouse

CHURUBUSCO, Ind. (WOWO): A large chunk of ice was found at a Churubusco greenhouse among the tomato plants.

According to our Partners in News at 21Alive, the co-owner of Jones Greenhouse on US33 discovered the four-inch long chunk of ice in the plants. He told 21Alive the ice punctured two layers of plastic that lines the exterior of his greenhouse.

“I thought maybe we had a hailstorm or something. So we just figured it probably fell off a plane or something.”

Martin Fisher from Science Central said he thinks the ice could have either fallen from an airplane or it could be a piece of hail, according to 21Alive. He says further scientific analysis would provide a sure answer.
