Local Company Helps Those In Need In Southern California

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO) — Fort Wayne based Do-It-Best and True Value Hardware announced a total of 110-thousand dollars in donations for disaster relief and recovery efforts in Los Angeles following this month’s wildfires.

100-thousand dollars will go to the American Red Cross for resources such as shelter, food, and emergency supplies.

An additional 10-thousand dollar award has been granted to the Boys and Girls Clubs of America in support of their work for kids and their families in and across the affected region.

One of the iconic photos was of the destroyed Altadena Hardware – which was a family-owned True Value Store.

Do-It-Best and True Value are working to help the family re-open, including setting up a temporary store
