LEESBURG, Ind. (WOWO): Two people are recovering after a ski boat hit them on a Koscisuko County lake over the weekend.

Early Sunday morning at about 2 AM, 32 year old Dominic Fisher of Milford and 22 year old Tiffany Fugate of Auburn were sitting on an aluminum fishing boat on Lake Tippecanoe. 

A ski boat being operated by 39 year old David Vie of Fort Wayne ran over the boat. The propeller nearly severed Fisher's leg off while Fugate was hit in the head by the boat. Luckily, Indiana Conservation Officers say Fisher was able to make a makeshift tourniquet to his leg that probably saved his life. 

He was taken to Parkview Hospital in Fort Wayne in serious condition along with Fugate. 

Vie was arrested for operating a motorboat while intoxicated and causing serious injury.
