FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): The Indianapolis man charged with stockpiling 2,000 pounds of marijuana in a Fort Wayne warehouse, has pleaded guilty.

50-year-old Martin Medina was arrested in April after an investigation led authorities to the transaction of the marijuana to a warehouse located off Industrial Road. The marijuana, which originated in Mexico, was transported through Texas prior to its arrival in Fort Wayne. It was compressed and hidden in 12 large deep freezers.

Jack Riley, Special Agent-in-Charge of the Chicago Field Division of the DEA, called this bust, “…the most significant marijuana seizure in northeast Indiana in several years.”

In May, Medina was indicted on a felony offense of possessing with intent to distribute marijuana.
