Man Confesses to Killing Prostitute, Woman Still Alive

A man accused of choking a prostitute until she passed out confessed to killing her, but what he did not know was that she survived the attack. The Post-Tribune reports that a man came to the Schererville police station to confess his involvement. He told police a friend was the attacker, but the friend claims the other was responsible. The woman was choked and left along a Gary street but was treated at a hospital and survived. She told police one of the men choked and beat her while the other kicked her as they stole her money. The men now face robbery, criminal confinement, and strangulation charges.
