FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): A man pleaded guilty to murder Wednesday in an October 2017 shooting death.

Deedee Barnett, 39, entered the guilty plea in Allen Superior Court on the same day his trial was set to begin, according to the Journal Gazette.

Barnett shot Brian Lowe Jr., 31, on Oct. 25. Court documents reveal Lowe was sitting in a friend’s car in the 1000 block of Lake Avenue when Barnett approached him and shot Lowe. Lowe died two days later.
