FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): A Fort Wayne man has been sentenced in connection to shooting last year.

Twenty-four year old Jose Lopez was sentenced to 23 years in prison for aggravated battery and other charges in the death of 28-year old Antonio Galavan last February at home McDonald Street.

Lopez agreed to a plea deal last month to avoid a charge of murder.

Police reports say the shooting was over drug money.
