Man Suffers Serious Injuries After Fall From Tree Stand in Marshall County

MARSHALL COUNTY, Ind. (WOWO): One person is in serious condition after falling from a tree stand. Indiana Conservation Officers are investigating the accident that happened Sunday morning at 9:20 A.M. 54-year-old Rodney Kreft, of Tippecanoe, was deer hunting in a rural area of Marshall County from a tree stand around 24 feet above the ground when the stand broke. Kreft was not wearing a safety harness and was airlifted to Memorial Hospital in South Bend for serious injuries to his spine.
