Manchester University planning memorial for students killed in crash

NORTH MANCHESTER, Ind. (WOWO): Manchester University is ready to heal from Sunday’s tragic accident that killed three of their own.

A memorial service is being planned for the three students that were killed in the crash Sunday. A date and time has not yet been set. Counselors are still available for students, faculty and staff.

The university is also encouraging letters of support to be sent for Israel Tamire, who continues to recover at Lutheran Hospital. The University says Professor Benson Onyeji has been by Tamire’s side since the accident, and that some of his family from Ethiopia has arrived. Letters can be sent to the University. The address is: Office of the President, 604 E. College Ave., North Manchester, IN 46962.

The university has also announced that their career and internship fair scheduled for Wednesday has been pushed back to March 9th.
