WHITLEY COUNTY, Ind. (WOWO): Roadways are water covered in many places and leaders with the Whitley County Emergency Management Department are encouraging drivers to stay away from flooded areas.

More rain will continue throughout Thursday afternoon and well into Thursday evening. The rain will be very heavy at times with occasional thunder and lightening.

As of noon today, we have received about an inch of rain and this is causing many roads and ditches to overflow. Use extra caution when traveling especially on county roads.
