FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): A police chase that started at the Meijer on Maysville Road in northeast Fort Wayne ended up in a wreck on East State and Coliseum Boulevards.

21Alive's Chad Fordyce told WOWO News that the three suspects, two men and a woman, had shoplifted from the Meijer and then the pursuit started on East State. Multiple reports say the suspect hit some vehicles along East State.

Three or four police cars pursued the vehicle on East State until Coliseum, when the car ran into a black SUV after police laid down spike strips.

Two of the three suspects were reportedly hospitalized following the accident. Traffic on East State between Coliseum and Reed is moving again after being closed down for about an hour Tuesday afternoon.
