Mississippi Company Recalls Pounds of Frozen Chicken Meals Nationwide

WASHINGTON, (WOWO):  Today, the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service announced that over 2,400 pounds of Traditions Meal Solutions frozen chicken meals are being recalled because of misbranding and an undeclared allergen.

The products contain milk, a known allergen, which is not declared on the label. The problem was discovered by the firm during a routine label review.

The products subject to recall include: a three-compartment tray containing “Lemon Pepper Chicken Breast Filet with Rib Meat Smoke Flavor Added / Mixed Vegetables / Basil and Garlic Fettuccine” with the establishment number “P-13850” inside the USDA mark of inspection.

The USDA said the products were produced and packaged on Oct. 5, 2012, Dec 19, 2012 and Jan. 28, 2013. The products were distributed nationwide.
