More Scams Reported in Fort Wayne Area

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): The BBB has posted an alert to be on the lookout for a scam at a Kohl's store, located in Fort Wayne.

The email asks the user to take a survey and receive a $500 Kohl's gift card.

The BBB encourages anyone who receives an email of this nature to not click on the link labeled, “START THE SURVEY” or hover over any of the URL's included in the email.

A consumer also reported having received a phone call from his personal AT&T number. The person claimed to be with AT&T and told him that his account was flagged for security reasons. The man was asked to provide the last 4 digits of his social security number.

The BBB says never to give out your social security number and if you receive this kind of call, call AT&T to direct the issue directly.
