Natural gas explosion destroys Noblesville home

NOBLESVILLE, Ind. (AP): Fire officials in central Indiana say a natural gas explosion destroyed a home in Noblesville.

Noblesville Fire Department spokesman Todd Estes says crews arriving at the scene about 12 p.m. Sunday found a partially collapsed home. Officials say no one was injured or killed in the explosion.

Fire investigators confirmed the damage to the home was caused by a gas explosion. Fire officials turned off all utilities to the home, which was left with a collapsed roof and crumpled and collapsed walls.

Authorities say the home was under construction. They say it’s a total loss and estimate the damage value at $300,000.

Noblesville is about 20 miles northeast of Indianapolis.
