Neighbors shaken by fatal house explosion

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Neighbors and family are still in shock after a fatal home explosion that shook nearby houses and killed one person Tuesday.

55-year-old Nathan Sliger was killed Tuesday morning in the explosion and resulting fire that destroyed his home on Wallen Road. The cause of the explosion is still unknown.

Our Partners in News at ABC 21 report that neighbors reported hearing and feeling the explosion from down the street. They all referred to Sliger as “respected” and “admired.”

A fundraiser is currently active on Facebook to cover funeral costs and support Sliger’s family. You can find it here.
