New Mexico Man Wanted In Amber Alert Arrested In Indiana

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) _ Authorities say a 37-year-old man wanted in connection with a New Mexico Amber Alert has been arrested after arriving at an Indianapolis bus station with a 16-year-old girl.

Indiana State Police said in a news release that the man from Corrales, New Mexico, was taken into custody Sunday night at the Indianapolis Greyhound station. The girl was turned over to Child Protective Services.

Police say troopers got information that a suspect wanted on a warrant out of New Mexico for kidnapping might arrive in the city on a bus with a 16-year-old girl.

The man was taken to the Marion County Processing Center.
