FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): No charges will be filed in the fatal shooting of 42-year-old Russell Jewel.
The Office of the Allen County Prosecuting Attorney and the Fort Wayne Police Department have completed their review of the investigation surrounding the May 29th, 2013 shooting, and they have determined that this death was the result of self-defense and therefore no charges will be filed
Police were originally called to the scene on Wisteria Lane, for a domestic battery case, but the shooting happened before they could arrive. The shooter was also injured.
