AUGLAIZE COUNTY, OHIO (WOWO) A fatal crash in Auglaize County left one woman dead and two others seriously injured after a motorcycle and SUV collided at a rural intersection Friday evening, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
The crash occurred just after 7:30 p.m. on June 12, 2026, at the intersection of U.S. Route 33 and State Route 65 in Clay Township.
Crash occurred at rural intersection
Investigators with the Wapakoneta Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol said a 2014 Volkswagen Tiguan was traveling north on State Route 65 when it attempted to turn left onto U.S. Route 33.
Troopers said the SUV failed to yield the right of way at a posted stop sign and entered the path of an eastbound motorcycle.
The motorcycle was carrying two people at the time of the crash.
Victims identified by authorities
According to officials, the passenger on the motorcycle, 26-year-old Alexandra Hover of Lima, was ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene.
The motorcycle driver, 22-year-old Khaled Haque of Lima, sustained serious injuries and was transported to Lima Memorial Hospital for treatment.
The SUV driver, 69-year-old Raymond Jacquet of Orlando, Florida, also suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries. A passenger in the SUV was not injured.
Emergency response and investigation
Multiple agencies responded to the crash, including the Ohio State Highway Patrol Crash Reconstruction Unit, Auglaize County Sheriff’s Department, local fire and EMS crews, and the Auglaize County Coroner’s Office.
Officials confirmed both motorcycle occupants were wearing helmets and the SUV driver was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the collision.
Troopers said alcohol and drugs are not suspected to have been contributing factors.
Scene processing and roadway impact
The intersection was temporarily closed while investigators documented the scene and cleared debris. The vehicles involved were removed by towing services following the investigation at the site.
