FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): One person escaped a Fort Wayne house fire this morning in Fort Wayne.

Firefighters responded to the 1900 block of Drexel Ave. near South Anthony Blvd. at 7:15 a.m. A person evacuated from the second floor porch roof. The fire was under control within about 10 minutes.

Officials say there was moderate damage to the home and heavy smoke damage.

No one else was hurt.
