One Injured In 3-Vehicle Crash

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO) — One person was injured in a three-vehicle crash Wednesday afternoon on Fort Wayne’s south side.

The crash happened shortly after 1 p.m. near the intersection of Bluffton Road and West Ferguson Road. Police say an SUV was traveling northbound on Bluffton Road toward Ferguson Road when the driver lost control of the vehicle.

The SUV crossed into the southbound lane, struck two other vehicles, and then went into an embankment. The vehicle continued into the parking lot of Brookwood Golf Course, where it came to a stop.

A Fort Wayne Police Department officer at the scene said the cause of the crash is under investigation, but a medical issue is believed to have contributed to the driver losing control.

The driver of the SUV was transported for treatment and was reported to be in non-life-threatening condition. No other injuries were reported in the crash.
