FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO) – Fort Wayne police are investigating a fatal crash in southeast Fort Wayne.

Police responded shortly before 9:30 a.m. Friday morning to a single vehicle crash in the 6100 block of Decatur Road. A passenger car had crashed into a trailer on private property. A female was pronounced deceased on scene.

Police say the crash possibly occurred shortly after midnight.

The woman has since been identified by the Allen County Coroner’s Office as Black 22-year-old Jarice Utique Austin from Fort Wayne.

The incident remains under investigation.
