FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): As part of the “best farm system in all of baseball,” the Fort Wayne TinCaps’ initial 25-man roster is loaded with elite prospects.

Manager Anthony Contreras says the team will be similar to the 2017 roster: “We have lots of guys with incredible talent, but for most, this will be their first full season of professional baseball. So like we saw last year, there will be growing pains, but 2017 also proved that if you trust in your routines, work hard, don’t get too high or too low, and act as a professional, things should work out well.”

The TinCaps rallied from having the worst record in the league in the first half of the season to winning the Midwest League’s Eastern Division Championship last year.

Among others, seven TinCaps are listed among MLB.com’s top 30 San Diego Padres prospects, including pitcher MacKenzie Gore and infielder Gabrial Arias. Find the full roster here.

Fans will have their first chance for an up-close look at the team this Wednesday, April 4th, from 5 pm to 8pm for a “Meet the Team Night” at Parkview Field.
