Panel Could Drop School Staff Guns Mandate

INDIANAPOLIS (WOWO): An Indiana legislative panel is expected to consider whether to drop a proposal that would require all public and charter schools have a gun-carrying employee during school hours. The House Ways and Means Committee is scheduled to vote today on changing the bill. If the legislation becomes law, Indiana would become the first state in the U.S. to require armed school employees.
