Parole Violator from Michigan Arrested in Huntington County

HUNTINGTON COUNTY, Ind. (WOWO): A man wanted on parole violation charges from the State of Michigan was arrested early Sunday morning in Huntington County.

 

According to State Police, 37-year-old James Brown of Orion, Michigan was speeding on I-69 near the 285-mile marker. Once officers caught up to Brown, with their emergency lights activated, Brown eventually pulled over.

 

An officer spoke with Brown briefly and retuned to his patrol car. That’s when Brown exited his vehicle and took off running. After about 20 minutes of searching by officers and two K-9 teams, Brown was apprehended.

 

Further investigation revealed that Brown was wanted for parole violation in Michigan. He was taken to the Huntington County Jail on a preliminary charge of Resisting Law Enforcement, a Class A Misdemeanor.
