Pence Fills Seats on Horse Racing, Ethics Panels

INDIANAPOLIS (AP): Governor Mike Pence has made appointments to several state commissions.
 
       Pence announce Thursday he was filling seats on the Commission for Higher Education, the Horse Racing Commission and the State Ethics Commission, among other panels.
 
       Caren Whitehouse of Vanderburgh County will join the Commission on Higher Education and serve through June 2015. George Pillow of Marion County will serve on the Horse Racing Commission through September 2015.
 
       Pence also reappointed State Ethics Commission Chairman James Clevenger and named retired FBI agent Bob Jamison of New Albany and Daryl Yost of northeastern Indiana to serve on the panel through October 2017. The commission is scheduled to take up ethics allegations against former Schools Superintendent Tony Bennett in January.
