PERF Breaks Away from State Retirement Program in Allen County

ALLEN COUNTY, Ind. (WOWO): Allen County employees who are hired after December 31st will have a retirement plan. The final vote from council is a decision to break away from the state government’s retirement program.

Allen County is the first in the state to replace benefits with Indiana’s Public Employee Retirement Fund program, otherwise known as PERF, similar to a 401k.
