FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Perry Hill Elementary will present a check to Riley Hospital for Children in the amount of $1,502 Thursday afternoon. The money was raised through a coin competition between the grade levels.

The grade that brought in the most money got to dump a bucket of ice water over Principal Barb Ihnen’s head.

“I am so proud of our generous students and their families,” said Ihnen. “They really gave from their hearts to help Riley Hospital.” 

This is the first year for this fundraiser, and the check will be presented to Riley during a Cougar Celebration assembly at 1:45 p.m. in the Perry Hill gymnasium.
