<span style=”font-size: 18px;”>RICHMOND, Ind. (AP) _ A Veterans Affairs clinic in eastern Indiana will nearly double in size and boast a larger staff under a new development plan.
 
  VA officials said at a Thursday news conference that Richmond’s outpatient VA clinic has outgrown its space, but the new clinic will be nearly twice the size of the current 6,200-square-foot clinic that opened in 2000. 
 
  The Palladium-Item reports the new clinic will have an expanded lobby and waiting rooms, improved veterans privacy cubicles and more nurses and support staff.
 
  Developers and property owners have until April 19 to submit their property for consideration for the project.
 
  VA contracting specialist Shelly Leshe says there’s no specific time frame for selecting a new clinic site, but literature handed out Thursday listed Aug. 30 as the target award date.
