Plea Entered in Motorcycle Theft Ring Case

Two men have admitted to being involved in a motorcycle theft ring.  The men pleaded in Allen Superior Court.  According to the Journal Gazette, Alan Baysinger of Fort Wayne pleaded guilty on Friday to a charge of corrupt business influence.  He was given a two-year prison sentence and a year on probation in exchange for his plea.  Five other individuals were also charged.  In late August, police began an investigation into a possible motorcycle theft at Kasper Auto Sales on Brooklyn Ave.

According to court records, the investigation showed the motorcycles were being stolen, and resold sold, after being given a new paint job, vehicle identification numbers and paperwork.
