Police: 2 Injured During Indianapolis Home Invasion

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) – Indianapolis police are searching for two suspects in connection with an attempted robbery at a home on the city's west side.

The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department reports at least one of the suspects was armed during the Monday night home invasion. Officials say a person in the home was shot in the back and taken to a local hospital.

Police say a second occupant was pistol-whipped and treated for injuries at the scene. They say other people were in the home during the attempted robbery.

The department says the suspects fled on foot.
