WABASH COUNTY, Ind. (WOWO): Indiana State Police are investigating a police-involved shooting in Wabash County that took the life of a Kokomo man.

It happened at 4:20 p.m. Wednesday after police from the Wabash County and Huntington County Sheriffs Departments responded to a tip about the location of an alleged burglary suspect.

They found the 29-year-old inside a pickup truck in a field near Wabash County Road 400 North and Wabash County Road 500 East, armed with a shotgun. At some point, there was what police describe as an “incident” that led to three Wabash County officers and one Huntington County officer shooting at the man, who died at the scene.

None of the officers were injured.
