Power Outages From Last Night’s Storm

ALLEN COUNTY, Ind. (WOWO): More than 60,000 homes and businesses are without electricity across northern Indiana after strong thunderstorms with winds gusting more than 60 mph swept through the area. The National Weather Service has numerous reports of power lines and trees being knocked down during last night’s storm. Most of the damage reports came from the Gary area through South Bend. Major utility companies reported at least 120,000 outages in northern Indiana in the storm’s wake. About half of those had been restored by this morning.
