Purdue to Mark Shooting Anniversary

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WOWO): Purdue University and its student Government will be hosting a moment of silence at noon today to mark the one year anniversary of the shooting that led to the death of Engineering student Andrew Boldt.

Boldt was shot and killed by Cody Cousins in the schools engineering building a year ago today. The moment of silence will coincide with the traditional Purdue Bell Tower ringing 12 times at noon.

Caroline McKinney, vice president of Purdue Student Government, says that the intent is for students and staff to take a moment and reflect on the tragedy that transpired.

At the event the student government will have resources available to increase awareness of mental health on campus.
