STATEWIDE (WOWO) –Rain is possible again this week in Indiana.
“With that, some of that could be freezing rain that could mix in. We’re still watching that for Wednesday morning,” said Greg Melo, meteorologist with the National Weather Service in Indianapolis.
He doesn’t anticipate there being any heavy rain with this system, but they should know more about the freezing rain potential on Tuesday.
“As for snow, we’re not concerned about any of that over the next seven days or so. If we get any precipitation other than rain on Wednesday, it might be freezing rain or some sleet,” said Melo.
Temperatures will hover around the 30 and 40 degree mark both Tuesday and Wednesday.
“Then we’ll start to stabilize. We’ll have a short, warmer day on Thursday, but then we’ll cool right back down into the weekend,” said Melo.
The Indianapolis International Airport broke the record for a high temperature on February 3 when it reached 68 degrees just before 3:30 pm EST.
