Rally for School Choice on Tuesday at IPFW

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Supporters of the largest taxpayer-funded school voucher program in the US will rally on Tuesday in Fort Wayne.

National School Choice week has called supporters of the state voucher program to rally at IPFW. Rally members are looking to increase funding for K-8 vouchers.

Some Allen County schools and private Christian-oriented schools have welcomed the vouchers that are paid by both the state and school granting organizations.

According to the Journal Gazette, 15 of the 18 schools in the 4,000-student partnership participate in the school voucher programs.

The goal of National Choice week and events like tomorrow's rally are to inform parents about the K-12 education options for their children.
