Recent study shows overdose deaths in Allen County, up 93%

ALLEN COUNTY, Ind. (WOWO): A recent study by the Fort Wayne – Allen County Department of Health shows overdose deaths in Allen County increased 93 percent from 2008-2015.

The report, presented during Monday night’s Board of Health meeting, stated that most of those deaths were accidental, involved multiple substances and occurred at individual’s homes.

Nationwide, drug overdose deaths increased 300 percent.
