Renovation Project for Fort Wayne’s Embassy Theater

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): A major renovation project is coming to the Embassy Theater in downtown Fort Wayne.

In a ceremony Tuesday morning, officials kicked off a 10 million project to renovate the Indiana Hotel. It includes a two-story ballroom that will compliment the historic theater.

Executive Director Kelly Updike says the renovations will include a roof top garden, office space, and expanded lobby. “It will look a lot like the theater side of the building… the heavy stucco pretty yellow walls…we want that look and feel.”

She also says it will enhance services offered by the Grand Wayne Center next door.
