Coast Guard officials announced that search operations connected to the disappearance of 55-year-old Lynette Hooker concluded on Friday.

Hooker, a resident of Onsted, was reported missing in early April while traveling in the Bahamas with her husband.

Authorities said the search effort ended just over two months after her disappearance was first reported.

According to the Coast Guard, the operation utilized a variety of specialized investigative and search capabilities to examine newly identified areas of interest.

During the mission, the Coast Guard Investigative Service completed a custody transfer involving the Hookers’ dinghy.

The vessel was transferred from Bahamian authorities to the United States for additional forensic examination as part of the ongoing investigation.

Coast Guard resources included the Coast Guard Cutter Margaret Norvell (WPC-1105), which is homeported in Miami.
