Southern Indiana Police Investigate Fire Death as a Homicide

NEW ALBANY, Ind. (AP) – Police in southern Indiana say the cause of a house fire that killed a 58-year-old man is suspicious and his death is being investigated as a homicide.

WAVE-TV reports (http://bit.ly/1C8mMbu ) the man was pulled from a burning home after a fire was reported around 3:45 a.m. Saturday. Emergency crews attempted to resuscitate him before taking him to Memorial Hospital in New Albany, where he was pronounced dead.

Authorities have not released the name of the victim.
