St. Marys Avenue to Close for Water Valve Replacement Project

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): A section of St. Marys Avenue will be closed beginning Monday as City Utilities crews complete water infrastructure improvements.

According to City Utilities, Field Operations crews will begin replacing a water valve on St. Marys Avenue on Monday, June 15.

Starting at 8 a.m., St. Marys Avenue will be closed at the Huffman Street intersection. The closure is expected to remain in place for approximately three days.

City Utilities said motorists traveling through the area should use Sherman Boulevard as a north-south detour between Spring Street and Huffman Street while work is underway.

Drivers are encouraged to slow down, follow posted detour signs and use caution near the construction zone.
