Early Saturday morning, around 4:50 AM, Steuben County police got a call about a pickup tuck that ran off the roadway and hit a tree near SR 527 just south of US Hwy 20. Once they arrived on the scene they found Mackie Manns Jr, 33, of Wolcottville. He was unresponsive and pinned inside the truck. He was removed from the vehicle and taken to Parkview Hospital. The incident is still under investigation, but as of right now it’s looking like alcohol may have been a factor.
