Syracuse Man Seriously Injured in Off Road Vehicle Crash

SYRACUSE, Ind. (WOWO): A Syracuse man was injured in an off road vehicle crash Sunday afternoon.

Indiana Conservation Officers responded to the crash around 4:30 p.m., on Webster Road in Syracuse.

57-year-old Rick Neff was driving an ATV across a field when he claimed that the throttle got stuck. He attempted to make a right turn to avoid hitting a section of woods, but was unable to. Rick was thrown off the ATV before it struck a tree.

It was estimated the ATV was traveling 60-70mph. The impact snapped the tree in half, the ATV was totaled and Neff was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.
