Teen Hurt in Hit-and-Run Crash on US 33

KIMMELL, Ind. (WOWO): A 13-year-old boy from Cromwell was hurt after his bike was hit by a hit-and-run driver last night in Noble County.

The Sheriff's Department says it happened just before midnight on US 33 near Cromwell Road in Kimmell when the boy's bicycle was hit from behind by a vehicle headed north, that then fled the scene of the accident. The boy suffered injuries to his head and back and was flown to a Fort Wayne Hospital.

There's currently no word on his status.
